Energy bars, protein bars , snack bars and candy bars which one to have, you think that this would be obvious, right ! not so much.
Following is a quick list of bars that we have, and I gotta say some are like candy.
Energy Bars
Each flavor-packed bar contains the right balance of fast-burning carbs and high-quality protein for sustained energy. In Mixed Berry, Chocolate Nut Roll and Vanilla Pretzel. Less calories more protein. Great as a pre-workout snack if you don't want to drink an XS
Benefits
- Delicious mixed berry flavor.
- Delivers a balanced supply of power and endurance, with the right blend of carbs and protein. Naturally sweetened. Antioxidant infused.
- Provides high-quality protein for muscle recovery after exercise
- Provides fast-burning carbs for an energy boost when needed.
- Red Orange Complex (ROC) provides antioxidant protection from harmful free radicals generated by intense and prolonged exercise.
- ROC has been shown to reduce oxidative stress. Oxidative stress, brought on by everyday physical activity, environmental factors and dietary habits, leads to:
° Decreased physical performance
° Muscle fatigue - In a controlled clinical study, ROC increased antioxidant status in those exposed to higher levels of oxidative stress brought on by physical activity.
- ROC helps protect your cells – inside and out
- Provides high quality protein for muscle recovery after exercise.
- These dynamic bars have the protein you need to help you build muscle and strength for the long run.
- Beneficial nutrients included.
Nine tasty bars for 22.65
Lets compare here is a snapshot of whats on the packaging of a popular brand
Now I did taste this brand and found it a tad dry.
The maximum number of calories in ours is 200, so far not bad since you need that. Total fat max 7g, sat fat 2.5 and 4.5 depending on the flavor, sugar 10g or 13g , again depending on the flavor, sodium 145mg to 220mg or 6%
Until next time when we look at snack bars, and don't worry there's no exam after ( you won't be taking the bar exam )
